Los Angeles, the City Of Angels, is located in the Golden State of California, USA. Home to almost 4 million people, and with over 25 million visitors each year, it is one of the most popular and fascinating places to visit in the entire world!

Los Angeles TransportationThis metropolis, with it’s beautiful temperate sunny climate and an average of 300 sunny days each year, is many things to many people…The Entertainment Capital Of The World, LA LA Land, The Automobile Capital Of The World, etc. All things seem possible here, or at least that’s the illusion, and people flock from all over America and the world to find it, whatever “it” might be.

Possibly the most media monitored city on the planet, the LA lifestyle offers a wealth of choices. Trends that start here often spread all over the country and the world.

With its extensive freeway system and wide boulevards, it seems the people of LA are always on the go. Day and night you will find cars everywhere, though curiously, LA is not known as being a particularly late night city, such as New York City is.

Los Angeles is spread out over an area in excess of 300 miles and includes The City of Los Angeles itself, and many other smaller cities and communities that form what people generally consider to be LA. The city has a reputation as having grown outward instead of upward, though there are skyscrapers in the Downtown, Century City and Westwood areas.

“A Thousand Vapid Mainstreets Leading Nowhere” is how someone once described Los Angeles, and it is sometimes difficult to know where the city begins and ends. If you are flying into LAX – Los Angeles International Airport at night, and have a window seat on a clear evening (which will be most of the time!), you will be amazed at the dazzling display of seemingly never ending lights as far as the eye can see. Landing in the daytime has its own rewards, without the lights, but the same mass of land covered by buildings, and punctuated by the turquoise of the many swimming pools here.

Making the city even more desirable is its location on the West Coast of the USA. Within a few hours in either direction lies the ocean, mountains and desert.
